Hello. Would it be possible to allow searching using the Scryfall syntax inside Urza Gatherer? I'd like to be able to make use of the flexibility the Scryfall syntax allows, while remaining inside UG and seeing which cards are in my collection, etc.
Moxfield does this, but it has a few drawbacks (doesn't allow sorting, prices are unreliable, etc) and I much prefer UG to navigate my collection :)
I can describe what prompted this today as an example:
I store my rares and mythics differently than my commons and uncommons (double-sleeved in binders and unsleeved in boxes, respectively).
However, I like to sleeve my commons and uncommons according to certain criteria: being 0.50€ or more, being legendary, foils or story spotlights (I'm a sucker for those 😅).
So to make it easier everytime I add cards to the collection, I thought to make a scryfall search and this is what I came up with:
order:set game:paper e:vow -r:rare -r:mythic (type:legendary or eur>=0.50 or is:spotlight)
This searches for cards that "are available on Paper and the set is “vow” and the rarity is not equal to rare and the rarity is not equal to mythic and (the card types include “legendary” or the EUR price >= 0.2 or the cards are Story Spotlights) sorted by Set number"
The thing is, I'd like to be able to do this same search only on my collection, or to be able to see which cards are in my collection, which ones I own in foil, etc. Ideally as easy as copy and pasting this query everytime I need to. And I love UG for everything related to navigating my collection.
This need has come up a few times before, in other situations I'm not able to recall of the top of my head right now. But mainly in regards to deckbuilding, and searching for something on scryfall and then being able to replicate that exact search and see which cards I've got on what version, etc
I know that the advanced search from UG is able to do a lot of this, but there are a few cases where the flexibility is not quite the same and the ease of just having a query I can copy and paste instead of selecting every option every time I need to, would be neat.
This is not planned but I would love to get some examples of what you would like to do?
